Lighting

Layered, scene-based lighting design for luxury homes across Middle Tennessee, built on Lutron and controlled from a keypad, an app, or your voice.

Lighting that changes with the day

Good lighting is the difference between a room that photographs well and a room you want to sit in. We design in layers, ambient, task, accent, and decorative, then set those layers to scenes so the house changes with the day instead of waiting on a wall full of switches.

Most of our lighting work runs on Lutron, specified with your electrician and coordinated with the architect and designer before rough-in.

What a lighting system includes

Lighting control

Dimmers, keypads, load schedules, and a system layout drawn room by room, so every load lands where it belongs and the scenes make sense to the people living there.

Warm-dim and tunable fixtures

Fixtures that shift warmer as they dim, the way candlelight does, instead of going gray at the bottom of the range.

Landscape and facade

Landscape, facade, and path lighting on the same system, with an astronomic timeclock so the exterior follows sunset through the year.

Scenes and programming

Scenes and schedules programmed to your routines at handover, then adjusted after you have lived with them for a few weeks.

Living space lit by layered ambient and accent lighting

Drawn before the walls close

A lighting plan is drawn at the same time as the floor plan. We mark fixture locations, keypad locations, load schedules, and panel space before the electrician rough-ins, which is what keeps the ceilings clean and the walls free of switch banks.

  • Fixture and load schedules for the electrician
  • Keypad placement and engraving
  • Scene programming for each room
  • Retrofit options for finished homes

Built on Lutron, tied into Control4

We build lighting on Lutron, and tie it into Control4 so a single keypad press can take the lights, shades, and music with it. Both are systems we install, program, and service ourselves.

Works with

Lighting is usually the first layer. These are the systems it works alongside.

Lighting questions

Yes. Wireless dimmers and keypads replace the switches you already have, one room at a time if you prefer, with no rewiring and no drywall repair.

No. Most existing fixtures dim well on the right dimmer. We test what you have, tell you what dims poorly, and only recommend replacements where the result is worth it.

Usually one, at the entry you actually use. The point of scene control is fewer buttons, not more, so we plan keypads around how you move through the house.

Yes. An astronomic timeclock follows sunset through the year, and away settings can vary the pattern so the house looks lived in.

Let us design your lighting

Tell us about the project and we will walk the plans or the house with you, then put a lighting design in front of you before anything is ordered.
