Motorized Shades

Lutron shades and drapery that follow the sun through the day, protect your furnishings, and open to the view when you want it.

Light, privacy, and heat, handled

Shades do three jobs at once: they control glare, they hold privacy, and they keep the afternoon heat off your furnishings. Motorizing them means all three happen on their own, at the right time, without anyone walking the house pulling cords.

We specify Lutron shading and drapery, measure every opening ourselves, and set the schedules once the fabric is hung.

What we install

Roller and roman shades

Roller and roman shades sized to the opening, with fascia or pockets so the hardware reads as part of the architecture.

Motorized drapery

Drapery on motorized track, which is where the family hardware shop and the technology meet on the same window.

Exterior shading

Exterior and patio shading for west-facing glass, porches, and outdoor rooms that get unusable in the afternoon.

Fabric selection

Fabrics from sheer to full blackout, chosen against the room, the light, and how much view you want to keep.

Measured, pocketed, hung

Shades get measured to a sixteenth. On a new build we mark pockets and power before framing closes, so the fabric drops out of the ceiling instead of hanging off a bracket. On a finished home, battery and plug-in options do the same job without opening walls.

  • Pocket and power planning at framing
  • Field measurement of every opening
  • Battery and wired options
  • Schedules set after install

Lutron shading, quiet and aligned

Lutron shading is quiet enough to run mid-conversation and aligns across a wall of windows so every hem lands at the same height. Tied into Control4, the shades move with the lights on a single scene.

Works with

Shades are usually specified alongside these systems.

Shading questions

Not always. Battery shades run for years on a charge and install in a finished home with no wall repair. On a new build we run power, because wired shades never need a battery swap and can be tied to the same schedules.

Quiet enough to run while people are talking in the room. Lutron motors are the reason we specify them over cheaper systems.

Yes. Roller shades, roman shades, and drapery track all run on one system and can move together on a single scene.

That is the case for exterior shading, or for a solar fabric that keeps the view while cutting heat and glare. We look at orientation before recommending either.

Let us measure your windows

Send us the plans or the window schedule and we will come measure, bring fabric samples to the house, and quote the openings that matter most.
